Cheap holidays on the Black Sea. Where to go to the Black Sea cheap. Rating of the best resorts on the Black Sea coast of Russia The closest resort on the Black Sea

About five years ago (and before that) it was customary to vacation abroad in the summer. Then, on winter evenings, among friends, the beaches of Monaco, Phuket, Turkey were discussed ...

It's no longer fashionable. "Advanced vacationers" are now looking for previously unexplored resorts on the Black Sea in Russia closer to home.

Let's try to open a map of the Krasnodar Territory and choose the Black Sea coast, or rather, the Black Sea resorts in Russia, where good conditions for guests are created.

Krasnodar Territory - 10 best resorts

Of course, service and service culture have not yet reached optimal levels everywhere. This is understandable - the tourism industry in these places is (still) only developing. Nevertheless, we will rank the best resorts. Not in price, but in quality.

Between the mountains of the Western Caucasus and the turquoise waters (in good weather) of the Black Sea, there is a city-park with the longest coastline in Europe and the second (after Mexico City) in the world.

By "character" it is not much inferior to Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Bussan. In Sochi, of course, a little cooler than in the Canary Islands. But it’s much easier to get there and get a visa, you definitely don’t have to.

Such a comparison is possible because the climate is subtropical (warm, humid). Late autumn in Sochi ends not with winter cold, but with the beginning of early spring. Winter is a rare visitor here.

Out of 365 days a year, 270 - 288 are sunny. This is one of the reasons for the popularity of the resort.

Another reason is the peculiarities of nature. Next to the "ordinary" plants, palm trees, tea, medlar, persimmon feel great ... Only there are more than six thousand flowering plants here.

The territory of Sochi is divided into three climatic zones:

  • coast;
  • foothills;
  • highlands.

Travelers have a wide choice. Relax on the beach, among the many lovers of sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Walks in the tropical forest. Climbing to high-mountainous alpine meadows for fresh air when it is hot below. An overview of the snowy peaks, if you climb one of the observation decks of Krasnaya Polyana, Rosa Khutor ... Even if you go to bask in the sun in May, you can have time to go skiing without changing your summer outfit for special equipment.

What awaits tourists in Sochi

  • recreation centers and boarding houses (more than 20);
  • hotels (more than 600);
  • beaches (183 official);
  • tourist sites (at least a hundred);
  • hospital;
  • excursion campaigns (70);
  • natural and historical sights;
  • famous mineral springs;
  • well-developed infrastructure for families with children…

With all this, Sochi ranks 46th among hundreds of Russian megacities. In addition, it is one of the most beautiful cities in Russia.

Gelendzhik - a town on the shore of a cozy bay

Gelendzhik greets tourists with a coat of arms and a huge inscription - "The city of my dreams." As for the city itself - "the taste and color ..." - it has changed little since the days of the USSR. In addition to the embankment (14 km). The view from it to the Black Sea bay (which is never covered with ice) is magnificent.

The first sanatorium in Gelendzhik opened at the very beginning of the twentieth century. Seven years later, the entire coast officially received the status of a resort.

There are already too many vacationers here, but the sea, sandy and pebble beaches are clean. Another “plus” is the lack of large enterprises. Accordingly, the area is considered environmentally friendly.

From the west, the shore of the bay smoothly enters the sea. Eastern slope - rocks. The entire bay (3 km wide) is closed by Cape Tolstoy and Cape Thin.

The climate is subtropical Mediterranean, but much drier than in Sochi.

It is extremely rare for the sea to be rough in the summer. But winter storms reach magnitude four.

Souvenirs, small cafes, restaurants, rental of bicycles, gyroscooters, shooting galleries, boat trips are the usual resort entertainment for tourists.

Besides

  • pebble beaches (114);
  • artificially reclaimed sandy beaches (five and a half hectares);
  • mineral waters (5 springs and 18 deposits);
  • Taman Peninsula with therapeutic mud;
  • sanatoriums (more than a dozen);
  • water parks (3);
  • pine forest with relic Pitsunda trees;
  • grove of red book juniper;
  • dolmens;
  • parks…

Gelendzhik seems to be created by nature itself for family recreation and recreation.

Anapa is the best place for families with children

Shallow water, beautiful sandy beaches, long gentle entrance to the sea. This gives the right to consider Anapa a children's resort.

In addition, it is also a balneological resort. At the end of the nineteenth century, Dr. Budzinsky defined the specifics of Anapa as therapeutic and prophylactic.

The dry Mediterranean climate is due to the fact that the Caucasus Mountains surrounding Anapa are low.

What else attracts tourists to Anapa:

  • year-round resorts;
  • mineral springs;
  • recreation centers and boarding houses;
  • modern hotels;
  • African, Armenian and Greek villages;
  • "Gorgippia" - archaeological reserve;
  • dinosaur park and dolphinarium;
  • diving;
  • horse excursions;
  • seventy meter ferris wheel;
  • oceanarium, water parks ...

Since 2011, Anapa has proudly been called the City of Military Glory.

Adler - a resort within a resort

Although Adler is a microdistrict of Sochi, it is a separate original resort. This is not just a recreation area. The most important thing is the Adler silt mud.

You can relax and improve your health in one of the sanatoriums or health resorts:

  • Orbit;
  • News;
  • Green hill;
  • Knowledge;
  • South…

Also, guests are waiting for private boarding houses, hotels.

Well-appointed wellness centers are located in the city center. For example, the Adler sanatorium.

The Imereti lowland is famous for chain hotels. Especially the city-hotel - "Velvet Seasons" ...

There are many interesting things for tourists:

  • park "Southern Cultures";
  • "Olympic Park" (since 2014 - the main pride of Sochi);
  • ornithological park;
  • Olympic embankment;
  • "Mandarin Hall";
  • Akhshtyrskoe gorge;
  • a monkey nursery and a farm where ostriches are raised;
  • water park, dolphinarium, oceanarium ...
  • religious objects...

Tuapse - a city between rivers

Why such a strange name? The city is located between the "icy" Tuapsinka and the "wild" river Pauk at the southernmost foot of the Main Caucasian Range (the eastern part of the Black Sea coast).

Two and a half hours drive from Krasnodar, and travelers find themselves in ... Yalta? Not! This is Tuapse, which is similar in atmosphere and architecture to the Crimean resort.

A green town with "Soviet" courtyards, cozy cafes and parks.

Around - magnificent forests, mountains, sea ... The climate is subtropical, but the weather is unpredictable. At the height of winter, primroses often bloom in the mountains. Summer may come in March (+20). In general, the seasons change in a peculiar way - warm and cool. But winter sometimes "pleases" with frosts (-18..-21).

Of course, firstly, Tuapse is a seaside resort. But besides sunbathing and sea baths, the resort provides other amazing adventures.

Traces of human settlements in the area date back to the third millennium BC. This is the age of the local dolmens. So tourists who are interested in antiquities will not get bored.

For fans of night entertainment - the clubs "Chaliapin", "Damond Way", "Malibu".

Dance floors open in summer. The central beach of the city is equipped at the end of the street. Gagarin. Although the beach in the Primorsky region is more popular, closer to Cape Kadosh.

But still, tourists in the city itself do not linger for a long time.

The main recreation areas of the Tuapse region

  • Olpinka;
  • Shepsi;
  • Nebug;
  • Agoy.

Novorossiysk - city of memory

Periodically, from November to March, for two or three days (or weeks), the north-east prevails here - a heavy wind coming from the plateau of the North Caucasus. At this time, ships are ordered to leave the port and go to sea.

In summer, tropical heat sets in with all the ensuing consequences. The sea sometimes warms up to + 30 degrees. The average air temperature is +24. Tropical showers with thunderstorms often occur in the last summer month. Tornadoes and floods are not uncommon.

Novorossiysk cannot be called a full-fledged resort because of:

  • availability of a Russian Navy base;
  • in the water area is the largest Russian and Black Sea port;
  • ambiguous weather conditions.

And yet, the urban surroundings are striking in their picturesqueness. The opportunity to breathe sea and mountain air at the same time attracts travelers to these parts.

Sea resorts of Novorossiysk:

  • South Ozereevka;
  • Dry Slit;
  • Wide beam.

Natural attractions - city lakes: freshwater Abrau and Salt with sea water.

There is a winery near Abrau where the famous Abrau-Durso champagne is produced.

In Novosibirsk, special attention is paid to the monuments of the Great Patriotic War. In 1973, the city was awarded the title of "Gergy City".

Listing the sights of this amazing city is a thankless task. You need to come here for a couple of days and see everything with your own eyes.

Lazarevskoye - another resort in the resort

On the one hand - just one of the districts of Sochi. On the other hand, it is a full-fledged resort with certain specifics.

Since the times of the Soviet Union, it has traditionally been considered a children's resort. This does not interfere even with high humidity.

The whole area is a solid beach. The division into the first, second, third line for living is conditional. Despite the large number of tourists, you can also find “wild” beaches by consulting with the local population.

The infrastructure in Lazarevsky is well developed. Even in inclement weather guests will have something to do.

Entertainment and attractions

  • excursions;
  • extreme adventures;
  • trips to neighboring cities;
  • amusement and amusement parks;
  • aquapark;
  • historical tours…

And, of course, the unique nature of the region. Berendey's kingdom alone can make you forget the negative moments of rest.

If you don’t really like it in Anapa, then the alternative is the inexpensive and comfortable village of Vityazevo. Sandy beaches, the hospitality of the locals, the Greek flavor - this attracts tourists here.

A distinctive feature of the resort is the healing Taman springs. In addition, the village has a unique zoo terrarium with a collection of marine fauna and butterflies.

Dzhubga is not for the faint of heart

An hour's drive from Tuapse, among the forest, is the village of Dzhubga. Everything is as usual on the Black Sea coast - sand, pebbles, sea. Nice weather. Beautiful nature. The difference from other resorts of the Krasnodar Territory is "wildness". That is, campsites and car camp sites predominate.

The village attracts those who do not need the benefits of civilization, but strive to be closer to nature.

Recreation features:

  • Colonel's waterfalls - an "easy" ten-kilometer walk;
  • complex "Eagle Rock", where the path lies through the "Glade of Charm" with a tasting of local wine with Adyghe cheese.
  • The way back is also not complete without a halt with a casually organized feast - barbecue, pita bread, sauces, honey and ... wine (for adults);
  • aquapark;
  • walk along the sea to Inal Bay;
  • Bzhidskie waterfalls;
  • Jurassic Park…

Divnomorskoye - a green suburb of Gelendzhik

Specificity - rest in boarding houses and the private sector. There are not many tourists in Divnomorsk. For this reason, the beaches are much cleaner.

The sea here is actually - marvelous - not black, but azure. The village is surrounded by greenery. It seems that he is lost among the relic pines. It is completely forgotten that Gelnzhik is only twelve kilometers away.

The peak of the season is July-August with all the ensuing problems:

  • too many tourists for such a limited space;
  • high housing and food prices;
  • prices are rising even for sea souvenirs.

Advice! It is best to come to Divnomorskoye in September - the time of the classic "velvet season". Or at the very beginning of June - it is already quite hot, the sea is warm (+20 - +22 degrees), and there are still many places near the "very blue sea".

This resort offers guests both civilized comfortable places of rest and campsites.

Sometimes rested holidaymakers write negative reviews

  • service at a bad level;
  • rudeness of "local" and attendants;
  • dirt on the beaches....

It only says that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We need to better study the map of the Krasnodar Territory. There are so many options for a wonderful holiday on the coast and resorts of the Black Sea in Russia that everyone can choose the best one.

And there are so few natives against the background of tourists that they must be treated with care. For example, in Sochi there are a little more than four hundred thousand local residents, while in 2018 there were eight million guests.

Find out where in the summer of 2020 it is best to relax on the Black Sea - in the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea. The best resorts in Russia for beach, active and sightseeing holidays. Where better with children, youth and the elderly.

Resorts of the Black Sea - where it is cheaper, where it is more expensive

The most disappointing thing in the Russian resorts on the Black Sea is the cost of rest. Against the backdrop of unintelligible service, the prices are amazing. Although there are changes for the better: cities and towns have become cleaner, many new worthy facilities have been built, and the range of entertainment offered has significantly expanded.

Judging by the offers of early booking, in the summer of 2020, the most expensive vacation will cost in Anapa and Yalta. Cheaper - about 25-35% - in Sevastopol, Evpatoria and Koktebel. Even cheaper - up to 40-50% - in Alushta, Feodosia, Sudak, Kerch, Saki and Tuapse. The lowest prices are offered by small resorts in the Western and Eastern Crimea - Mirny, Storm, Mezhvodnoe, Ordzhonikidze, Kurortnoye and others.

Where is the best infrastructure?

The second most popular Russian resort on the Black Sea is. There are many modern hotels and guest houses, a large selection of housing in the private sector. However, the prices are too high and there are many tourists. During the season, there is not enough space on the public beach - tourists swim even under prohibition signs. It is more comfortable to relax in the suburbs of Gelendzhik - Kabardinka and. Go there if you want to breathe more freely, although there is overcrowding in the summer.

If you come to rest on the Black Sea at the height of the summer season, this is waiting for you. I took the photo on the beach in Divnomorsky, Krasnodar Territory.

Another city where you can have a great rest with children in the Krasnodar Territory at sea is. The recognized children's resort stubbornly enters the top five. Most tourists choose villages and. The latter is a new rapidly developing resort with an excellent hotel base.

According to tourists, the infrastructure is worst developed in small villages, such as Dederkoy, Praskoveevka, Makopse, Vishnevka, Agoy, Krinitsa, Betta in the Krasnodar Territory and Privetnoye, Mezhvodnoye, Kurortnoye in the Crimea. As a rule, the local infrastructure is shops, cafes, children's attractions and water activities on the beach.

  • Settlements of Betta, Dzhankhot and Krinitsa (Gelendzhik).
  • Uncrowded beaches near Nizhne-Imeretinskaya Bay in Adler.
  • Uncrowded beaches near Kiseleva rock and in Dzhubga (Tuapse).
  • The coast from Dzhanhot to Praskoveevka was chosen by fans of wild recreation with tents. There are also nudists.
  • There are campsites on the wild beaches of Kabardinka (Gelendzhik) and Blagoveshchenskaya (Anapa).
  • Eastern coast of Crimea near Ordzhonikidze and Kurortny.
  • Wild beaches near Sevastopol (Cape Fiolent, Khersones, Laspi Bay) and in Lyubimovka.

Last summer we had a great time on vacation at the Enot campsite near Arkhipo-Osipovka. As far as we have studied the topic, this is one of the best campgrounds in the entire Black Sea. The hosts organized the work of the camping at the highest level, everything is civilized: hot showers, Wi-Fi, electricity, comfortable washbasins, decent toilets, plenty of space. In the evenings, raccoons come and ask for food - both children and adults are delighted. The campsite has several places with amazing sea views!

One of our favorite places in Crimea is Cape Vinogradny in Sevastopol.

In Crimea many interesting places: you can visit the unique bays and the reserve in the New World, ancient fortresses in Sudak and Balaklava, cave cities in Bakhchisarai, waterfalls and mountains in Yalta and Alushta, the Botanical Garden in Nikita, ancient palace complexes and parks (Alupka, Livadia, Massandra ), historical monuments and archaeological sites (Sevastopol, Evpatoria, Kerch) and much more.

Where better to relax with children on the Black Sea

The Black Sea resorts are considered the best for children. Anapa,Evpatoria and Feodosia. All of them are not too expensive and, in terms of infrastructure, are ideal for families. Everywhere there are dolphinariums, water parks, children's cafes and amusement parks.

Advice: take into account the distance of the trip, prices and environmental conditions. For example, Anapa is well suited for families with children, but in the middle of summer the sea begins to bloom, and the water becomes cloudy due to algae. When compared by prices, the cheapest is the rest in Feodosia, Sudak and the villages of the Western Crimea, but it will take longer to go.

The Black Sea, connecting through the Bosporus and Dardanelles, as well as the Sea of Marmara and the Mediterranean with the Atlantic Ocean, is of strategic importance for Russia. The coastline was reclaimed by the state, some territories remain the subject of disputes today.

Coast of the Black Sea of Russia

(Coast of the Black Sea with the resort towns of Russia)

The length of the Russian coastline of the Black Sea today is 1200 km. It starts from the Caucasus Mountains, continues along the coastal strip from Taman to Adler, and includes the Crimean coast.

Its relief is represented by the mountains of the Caucasus and the South Coast, lowlands and estuaries, mainly in the eastern part, as well as steep ledges. In general, the line is slightly indented, there is only one peninsula - the Crimea. There are no islands in the Black Sea.

Russia's access to the Black Sea

For the first time, Russia began to claim access to the Black Sea with the appropriation of coastal lands in the 18th century. It was a victorious war with Turkey, which resulted in the conquest of Anapa and the Crimean peninsula. After that, at the beginning of the 19th century, the settlement of the conquered lands by the Slavs began.

Crimea was given to Ukraine immediately after the collapse of the USSR, but in 2014 the entire peninsula, including the Crimean coast of the Black Sea, became part of Russia again, and is the subject of disputes with Ukraine and the Western world.

Characteristics of the Black Sea

Depth: maximum 2210 m

Average water temperature (Black Sea coast, Russia): Winter 7.7 °C, Summer 19 - 24 °C

Coasts: pebbles, gravel, sand and steep stone banks

Climate: mostly continental, the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus and Tuapse have a milder subtropical climate

The location of the coastline of the Russian Black Sea coast and landscape features led to the formation of three climatic zones at once:

  • humid subtropical;
  • mediterranean;
  • moderate marine.

The underwater world of the Black Sea is represented by dolphins and a variety of sharks - katrans. The latter do not pose a danger to people. Among the commercial fish found in coastal waters, it is worth noting the flounder, goby and mullet.

Cities on the Black Sea in Russia

(Sandy shores of Anapa)

Most of the cities of the Black Sea coast of Russia have the status of resorts due to the presence of appropriate resources and climatic conditions on the territory.

Anapa. The westernmost settlement among the cities of the mainland of the Russian Black Sea coast. At one time, the capture of the Anapa fortress allowed the Russian government to exercise control over the Black Sea. Today, it is a resort town.

Novorossiysk. The city does not have the status of a resort, despite the annual number of tourists. The settlement is surrounded on all sides by the mountains of the Caucasus Range, but low. The surroundings of Gelendzhik are characterized by the same relief. The height of the mountains in the Gelendzhik region is greater.

Tuapse. It is the starting point of the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus. The resort is surrounded by high mountains.

Sochi. The largest and most equipped resort in the Russian Federation. Known all over the world. The length of the coast of Greater Sochi is more than 100 km.

Kerch. The easternmost point of the Crimean coast. The city is located at the junction of the Black and Azov Seas. In Kerch there is a ferry connecting the peninsula with the mainland of Russia.

(Stone coast of the Crimean peninsula)

Yalta. World famous resort city with a mild climate. It is located in an environment of high Crimean mountains.

Sevastopol. A city with federal status. The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy is based in its bays. The city does not have the status of a resort, its infrastructure is designed to serve the base of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Evpatoria. The largest city on the western side of the Crimean coast. It is a health resort. There are many children's recreation centers and hospitals. This is a recognized balneological resort.

Our review of where it is better to relax on the Black Sea. Low prices, personal experience, clean beaches, entertainment for everyone.

Resorts of the Black Sea - a storehouse of pleasant memories or a big disappointment? Someone considers a quality vacation on the Black Sea coast a myth. Others talk about the most fantastic holiday in their lives. And everyone is right!

One of the main points on which domestic tourism loses to foreign tourism is that prices are often too high and do not correspond to the level of service. But if you know a few simple tricks, a vacation at home can be cheaper and more soulful than Turkey or Georgia.

For a cheap break:

✓ Choose hotels away from the iconic resort towns (at least 15-20 km), where the infrastructure is less developed, but the sea is cleaner and the beaches are more deserted
✓ Find cafes and restaurants for locals (away from beaches and city center)
✓ Use early booking tours and 10 rules for finding them
✓ If you are traveling on your own: compare which is more profitable / more convenient from your city - plane or train
✓ To minimize the cost of housing, rent apartments in the private sector without intermediaries

The most reliable way to book directly is Airbnb (link - discount 2100 rubles for the first booking). There are fewer chances of running into outright fraud when, in fact, there is no rented housing, or it is not free. What, alas, happened to us in Adler when searching through Avito and making arrangements by phone.

Where is it better to relax on the Black Sea in Russia, if you need a budget and "angrily"? More often among reviews of cheap resorts there are villages near Tuapse. This impression is more likely due to the lack of luxury hotels and tangible entertainment for the wallet (attractions, restaurants, nightclubs, etc.).

Objectively, the Black Sea resorts, under equal conditions, have almost the same prices. It is inexpensive to have a rest in Sochi, and in Anapa, and in Gelendzhik, and in Yalta, and in Tuapse. Above we told how, and below - the facts ↓

*price per person

Season on the Black Sea

The velvet season is ideal for evening strolls along the promenade.
Nizhneimetinskaya Bay in Adler

There are a lot of places on the Black Sea coast where you can relax all year round due to the healing climate. Swimming and sunbathing is better June to mid September. The season reaches its maximum peak in the Black Sea in July-August. The air temperature rises to +35°C, and the water temperature rises to +28°C.

But even those who go on vacation in the height of summer run the risk of encountering a phenomenon that the locals call "nizovka". These are cold currents, when the lower layers of water rise to the surface. For vacationers, such a thing threatens with invigorating water at + 10 ° С ... + 15 ° С. The sea warms up quickly - in a few days.

We prefer cool May and September. And in October, the weather can already be unstable, the sea is quite cool. Although in 2018 the month indulged in quite “swimmable” + 24 ° С.

Many hotels and resorts offer good discounts in autumn. So our sympathy with the velvet season is mutual 🙂

Tours to the Black Sea

One of the life hacks on how to save money on a trip to the Russian coast: hot tours. It is most effective to catch them from the end of August (this is especially true for Muscovites, indigenous and not so :)).

A 10-day trip to a 3* hotel in Adler in September - from 30,000 rubles for two. Having paid 8-9 thousand, you can also go to Lazarevskoye for 2 weeks: a tour with a flight from Moscow - from 38,000 rubles (accommodation without stars).

But not only Moscow alone. You can see where it is better / cheaper to go from different cities of the country at:

Sites compare offers from different tour operators and give out the most attractive options. Plus, you can set up filters for your own Wishlist: the star rating of the hotel, the presence / absence of food, etc.

Black Sea resorts in Russia

There are many towns and cities on the map of the Russian Black Sea coast. Resort life is centered around large settlements.

To know exactly where to go to rest on the Black Sea, you need to delve into the "zest" of each location and "fit" it into your budget.

Adler and Sochi - personal experience of rest

When you think about the south of Russia, first of all you remember the most popular and desirable resort in the country - Greater Sochi (stretches from the border with Abkhazia almost to Tuapse). Thanks to the 2014 Olympics, the unique climate for Russia (where else do tangerines grow like apples, and kiwi instead of grapes?), Natural and historical sights everyone wants to visit there.

We rested in Sochi several times, at different times of the year and in its different regions: in winter - in Krasnaya Polyana, in summer - in Adler, central Sochi, Dagomys, Lazarevsky. The cheapest is in tents on the beach near Dagomys. Housing in this case is free, but you can’t rely on a shower. More expensive - in a sanatorium in central Sochi. From 65,000 rubles for two per week in a double room with full board in the low season (end of September).

Recreation bonuses in a sanatorium / holiday home: most often it is 1 coastline and a private beach. But in my personal TOP, the 1st place belongs to new hotels in the Nizhne-Imeretinskaya Bay.

✓ Equipped pebble beaches without breakwaters
✓ Near the airport, the new Adler railway station
✓ At hand to the starting point of independent excursions to Abkhazia - Russian State Farm
✓ You can comfortably get to Krasnaya Polyana (Rosa Khutor) by Lastochka from the Olympic Park railway station
✓ The Olympic Park itself and the Russian Disneyland - Sochi Park are right there

Excursion from Adler to Abkhazia

We went to Abkhazia on a one-day excursion - we bought delicious cheeses and were stunned by the beauty of lakes, waterfalls and canyons!

Bored in Sochi? You can drive back and forth to another country - Abkhazia. Tour options:

  • By car alone

    + Own route
    + Unlimited time

    – One of the team members will not try the local wine 🙁
    – The need to communicate with the local traffic police

    What do you need:
    ✓ Driver with rights
    ✓ Auto (rent in Adler - from 1500 rubles per day)

    Private tour

    Independence and freedom of movement
    + Own route
    + Unlimited time
    + Personal guide

    The main disadvantage is the price: from 6000 rubles
    But on request, they will show you unslick Abkhazia: abandoned boarding houses (“Georgia”), stations overgrown with lianas (railway station Psyrtsha) and old houses buried under greenery (Palace of Prince of Oldenburg)

    Group tour

    Cost - from 1500 rubles
    Departure is usually early in the morning. The mandatory program usually includes: Gagra (Seaside Park, colonnade); wine, cheese and honey farms; Pitsunda and its clear sea; New Athos (monastery and cave); Lake Ritsa.

    Cons: there is no way to stay where you want, the timing is quite tense

To be honest, all our independent excursions to Abkhazia ended with a belly feast in one of the incredibly delicious establishments in the country. Therefore, organized trips also have their charm: on the way back you do not have to sigh heavily and unbutton your jeans.

Trip to Krasnaya Polyana

This is how the Olympic village and the mountain slopes look like, over which you rise
to Rosa Peak (photo #3). We set aside a whole day for this and reached
to the highest point - the Stone Pillar.

The 2014 Olympics in Russia gave a powerful impetus to the development of ski resorts in Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, which is an hour's drive from the hot summer city. After the heat of the coast, it is very refreshing to climb to the highest point of the region - Rosa Peak (2320 meters) - by cable car. Cost: 1590 rubles.

On a clear day, you can see the sea from the Rose Peak observation deck. And during the ascent on the cable car, you can see the Olympic village and facilities built for the Olympics.

Where is it better to relax with children on the Black Sea? Rumor has it that in Anapa. But don't trust them. In the high season, the resort looks more like a crowded anthill with a blooming sea.
The main reason for the negative reviews of vacationers: seaweed porridge. Locals advise swimming in the area of the Medical Beach or the beach of the yacht club.

From useful for a family vacation:

✓ a large number of children's attractions
✓ Dolphinarium "Nemo" - the cost is 800 rubles, children under 5 years old are free
✓ - for 5000 rubles for a group of up to 4 people

By the way, the city is also suitable for those who are delighted with the vibrant nightlife. That's where the music does not stop until dawn!

Where, then, to relax on the Black Sea in this area? There are good sandy beaches with a gentle entrance in the villages:

  • (16 km from the centre)
  • Dzhemete (10 km) – convenient and fast access by public transport

Accommodation prices in Anapa start from 500 rubles per person per day in the private sector to 7-8 thousand rubles for a room with access to the beach. You can find acceptable options near the sea for 2500-3500 rubles in guest houses and private boarding houses. Food is cheaper than in many other resorts, there are set meals.

Our personal finds: cafe "Irina" and "Golden Dragon".

Gelendzhik

According to most guidebooks, Gelendzhik is a suitable place for a family vacation. Main arguments:

✓ sandy beaches with a smooth entry into the water
✓ developed infrastructure
✓ long promenade for walking
✓ entertainment for every taste (there is a safari park and a dolphinarium - 1700 rubles if your height is 145 cm and above; 900 rubles - from 106 to 145 cm and even)

But the resort has its own pitfalls. Or rather, not even stones, but something less pleasant.

The beaches within the city are free, but there is no smell of clean water here: locals love to cut their pipes into storm drains, lowering sewage there. In 2018, there was a sewer accident, and all the beaches of Gelendzhik were closed for several days.

Another misfortune of Gelendzhik (and not only it) in July and August is crowds of people and high prices for absolutely everything. It is important to book accommodation in advance, during the peak season you will not find anything budgetary and tolerable in quality. Prices: from 1500 rubles per room per day and from 3000 rubles per apartment.

The beaches of the Blue Bay and the Gardens of the Seas are far from the central ones, it is better there. Behind the "tasty" coniferous air and less crowded coastal strip:

  • to the village of Dzhanhot - 25 km south of Gelendzhik
  • Divnomorskoe - 17 km to the south
  • – 12 km to the north

If you like to relax on your own - as a savage, choose one of the campsites that are just located in the direction of these villages. Novorossiysk is an hour's drive from the resort. The main attractions are the museum-cruiser "Mikhail Kutuzov" (200 rubles) and the memorial "Small Earth" (100 rubles).

Crimea

Two hundred years ago, the peninsula was a place of relaxation for the elite. Tsars and nobles built palaces and dachas here. Today everyone can enjoy Crimea. If you choose where it is better to relax on the Black Sea, take a closer look at the Crimea.

✓ Just being here makes you healthier: the air is saturated with iodine and coniferous phytoncides
✓ Do you want to improve your health to the fullest? Come to one of the sanatoriums for three weeks (the period recommended by doctors). They treat chronic respiratory diseases, problems of the cardiovascular and nervous system.
✓ There is something to see in Crimea: palaces, fortresses, ancient settlements, caves, waterfalls
✓ Entertainment for every taste and budget: water parks, horseback riding, mountain hiking, kayak tours, boating and yachting

The coolest place to relax is on the South Coast - the southern coast of Crimea. This is a coastal zone, 180 km long from Foros to Koktebel. I love these places for the beautiful nature. Hiking in the mountains is a must-have for any local tourist!

The main resorts of the South Coast:

With a tent, you can go around even the whole of Crimea. Fewer people in Shchelkino, Olenevka, Rybachy.

I want to recommend you an excellent article, where the author tells in detail about all the nuances of renting a car in Crimea: where is it better to book, about insurance, parking, gas stations and other features that you need to know.

Our opinion: The best time to travel to Crimea is off-season. What month is not so important. Comfortable in April, May (except May holidays), early June, September. In summer, everything is several times more expensive, and there are crowds of people.

For those who want to immerse themselves not only in the clean water in Crimea, but also in the local culture, we recommend that you look at:

➢ Genoese fortress in Sudak - 150 rubles
➢ Historical and archaeological reserve Khersones (near Sevastopol) - 300 rubles
➢ Bay and submarine base in Balaklava - 300 rubles
➢ Uchan-Su Waterfall (Yalta) - in high water in spring or frozen in winter
➢ (Alushta) - one day hike
➢ Mount Ai-Petri - go up on the cable car, go down on foot - 400 rubles one way
➢ Foros Church

Yalta is a place where people with completely different interests will like it.

✓ You can visit three beautiful royal palaces with park ensembles: Livadia, Massandra, Vorontsovsky (400, 350, 350 rubles)
✓ Climb the mountains on a cable car (400 rubles per adult, 250 rubles per child 6-12 years old)
✓ Visit the theater (150-500 rubles entrance to the performance of the local troupe)
✓ Take a ride in one of the water parks. On average, for prices: the smallest (up to 100 cm) admission is usually free, children from 100 to 150 cm - from 600 to 900 rubles, adults - from 1000 to 1500 rubles

You can live in the main Crimean resort in:

➢ restored villas with a century of history - from 20,000 rubles for a deluxe room in high season
➢ modern hotels - from 10,000 for a standard room
➢ private Yalta houses - two-room apartments in the region of 3000 rubles per day

Resting in the city in the summer is an expensive pleasure, but you can always stay in the nearby resort villages (Miskhor, Massandra, Alupka) and come for a walk along the Yalta embankment.

Where is it better to relax with children on the Black Sea?

The well-known resorts of the Black Sea in Russia for families with children are located near:

  • Feodosia
  • Evpatoria
  • Anapa
  • Gelendzhik

Sand, sea with a gentle entrance, water parks, amusement parks - everything is in these cities.

In July and August, rest in the Crimea is a priority. Krasnodar resorts are more likely to catch a rotovirus infection - the sea is shallower, the water heats up faster to the optimum temperature for bacteria reproduction. Plus, the sea begins to bloom in Anapa.

Middle-aged and older children will enjoy Yalta and Sochi. Here is the most interesting entertainment.

The price is for one person when buying a tour for two

The choice of the Black Sea resort largely depends on the purpose of your trip, the age composition of tourists and preferences for relaxation. Someone prefers wild, deserted beaches (like us!), someone waits for the whole year of vacation to dance until the morning for 28 days in a row (and again about us!). The coast in Russia is not so great, but everyone will find a place where they want to return again and again.

Where is the best infrastructure?

Most resort areas live from season to season: in the summer there is everything you need to relax, and in the winter they evoke thoughts of horror films - so deserted. The best infrastructure is in large cities that are not empty all year round:

✓ Alushta
✓ Pike perch

✓ Gelendzhik

Where is the best active holiday?

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are a lot of offers throughout the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory: amusement parks, diving, paragliding, kitesurfing, mountain hiking, kayaking.

➢ Youth recreation is developed in the Crimean villages of Shchelkino, Mezhvodnoe, Olenenka - they teach kite
Dive into scuba diving it is possible in the area of Cape Aya, Tarkhankut, Balaklava, Simeiz
Kayaking it is interesting to swim near the bear mountain in Gurzuf and to the Lost World beach on Cape Aya
➢ Between Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana there is Skypark AJ Hackett Sochi. Thrill-seekers can wander along the rickety bridge at a height of 207 m. For those who want more extreme sports, jump, fly and swing on a swing. Issue price: 1250 rubles for entry. Attractions are paid separately - from 2,500 to 15,000 rubles

Personal impression: in the Sochi skypark, the second jump / flight into the abyss in one day is at a discount. I didn't think anyone would fall for this until our friend jumped 2 times in a row! The bridge was enough for me. And then almost crawling 🙂

Where is the calm and secluded rest?

Uncrowded beaches can be found in the eastern part of the Crimea (Ordzhonikidze, Rybachye, Kurortnoye), in the areas of Sevastopol, the Nizhneimeretinsky Bay, in the east of Tuapse. If you decide where it is better to relax for the elderly, take a closer look at the resorts of the South Coast.

Where are the best beaches?

Pebble beaches are usually cleaner. The best is the coast in Yalta, Gurzuf, Nizhneimeretinsky Bay (Adler), Dzhanhot, under the rock of Kiselev. For sand - to Feodosia, Evpatoria, Vityazevo.

In the Crimean Novy Svet, you can choose what type of beach you like: part of the coast is covered with sand, and part is covered with pebbles.

How to get to the resorts?

You can get to the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory by car, train or plane.

  1. The M4 highway goes from Moscow to the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory. In general, the roads are good, it is convenient to stop in different places if you have a car.
  2. Trains from major Russian cities run to Sochi, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, Anapa and Novorossiysk.
  3. There are airports in Anapa, Gelendzhik and Sochi

It is more difficult to get to the Crimea, but in 2018 the Crimean bridge was launched, now you can come to the peninsula by car. There is still a ferry service, but only motor vehicles go from the Kavkaz port. There is only one airport in Crimea - in the city of Simferopol.

How much does a vacation in Sochi/Adler cost? Our budget

In September 2019, from 3 to 10 (week), we rested in Imeretinka with a narrow company of 2 girls: me and my sister. They didn’t show off, but they didn’t deny themselves small pleasures either. The budget for two is as follows:

  • Housing - 35,000 rubles for a double room (took a tour without a flight)
  • Food - 7000 rubles. Ate: breakfast, lunch - canteen, dinner - cafe or restaurant, sometimes canteen
  • Transport - because we had a beach vacation, there were practically no trips. In total, with a taxi airport-hotel-airport, it turned out 1000 rubles
  • Tickets - 16,000 rubles (airplane)
  • Entertainment - 1000 rubles (a couple of times they took a set - sun loungers and an umbrella, the cost is 500 rubles)

Total: 60,000 rubles.
